Part A
Martha and Gordon are enjoying the breakfast buffet1 at their hotel.
瑪莎和高登正在他們的飯店享用自助早餐。
(Martha = M ; Gordon = G)
M: Wow! This breakfast buffet has a lot to offer.
G: Yeah, we can choose from both Eastern and Western styles.
M: Well, I’m going to have a bowl of porridge and some century eggs first.
G: Really? I thought you always began the day with a breakfast sandwich.
M: Not today. I’m in the mood for something hot. How about you?
G: I’ll have cereal with fruit, a plate of vegetables, and some bread.
M: Are you going to toast the bread?
G: No. That’ll make it too hard and dry.

Part A：
瑪莎：哇！這裡的自助早餐應有盡有。
高登：對啊，有中式和西式的餐點可以選擇。
瑪莎：嗯，我要先吃一碗粥和幾顆皮蛋。
高登：真的嗎？我以為妳每天一開始都會吃三明治當早餐。
瑪莎：今天不要，我想吃點熱的東西。你呢？
高登：我要吃水果麥片、一盤蔬菜和麵包。
瑪莎：你的麵包要烤嗎？
高登：不要，那樣麵包會變得又硬又乾。
